WHERE DOES YOUR USED TEA BAG GO? – PART II

In a previous post we spoke of the caution in composting tea bags because of the possibility of the plastic and chemical makeup. We suggested to throw away your tea bag rather than compost it if you are unsure of the actual makeup of the bag.

Today as I was drinking a cup of vanilla chai tea, I went on an internet hunt to find information on Bigelow Tea to see if it was biodegradable. It didn’t take long to find information as I went straight to the source.

They very plainly and boldly speak of their commitment to sustainability with their products and their own work environment. As you can see from their image above, they show that their tea bags are biodegradable and the proper way to dispose of the used bag.

This warms my heart in more ways than one. I think I’ll be buying more Bigelow from now on.
